Quick... I need a mechanic in Atlanta!

Hi all,

I'll be in Atlanta tomorrow and while I'm there I could use an oil change and ATF flush.

There are no authorized mercedes dealerships or indie shops where I live. Can anyone recommend some good ones in the Atlanta metro area? The car is still under CPO warranty, if that matters.

Thanks.

There is a Mercedes dealer in Buckhead but I have never used them. Your CPO warranty will not cover ATF and oil change but it should take care of you if they find anything else wrong.

Thanks. Don't worry, I had no illusions of a free ATF or oil service. But I've heard that "routine" work can be done by an indie without voiding the warranty. So if there is a good mechanic, indie or dealership, I'm willing to give them a try.

I don't have any first hand knowledge, but there are some posts on the forum about Buckhead being expensive (just like everything else in Buckhead).

Atlanta Service

Mercedes of Buckhead is awesome dealer all around...great service department. They also have two McClarens to check-out and a SL 65 AMG Black series on their sales floor....

Hello,

I'm considering the purchase of an '03 ML350 (Inspiration edition), with 80K, immaculate inside & out, drives great, etc. This would be my first MB purchase, and (of course), I would have the vehicle inspected prior to any serious negotiations. I live in the ATL area, and so would probably bring it to Jonathan Blue Ridge Mercedes. While I can afford the purchase of the vehicle and routine maintenance, I'm concerned about 'big ticket' items (top of engine work, or transmission, etc). Given that that model is no longer produced, should I shy away for this model ML, due to parts availability/cost, etc. I've had several 'shops' tell me that the ML350 (drive train) is gennerally 'rock solid' and trouble free. Any expert advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
