new and thanks to horst..

wayne here... otherwise known at waynep712 on a lot of other forums...

i have been a professional mechanic since 1979... mostly doing domestic cars... gm ford chrysler... but i dabble with other strange ones... my family at one time... had 2 land rovers... 4 rover 2000's and on 3500s.... along with 2 volkswagen busses... 3 camaros. 1 firebird... several ford trucks and a 43 willys jeep...

i actually went to trade school for a full year full time... all of it in autoshop... taught by roger gates and monte wolfe.. both 200 mph club members...

after that i got a few weeks over the years out at gm training center in burbank... and ton's of under the hood service... including running the cylinder head department at an engine rebuilding shop...

i only work on benz once in a while...

i do have a customer with a 71 250C that needs an engine overhaul...

i have another with a 88 190E 2.6 that i have done a lot of work on...

my exboss also has a 560SEC that has a convertible conversion on it... i think it was built for some rocker... that gets worked on sometimes... but most of the time its parked...

i just thought i would be nice to introduce my self..

one thing i was looking for is how to test the ignition module with 8 pins on each round connector... i did find the ignition testing charts... but they look like they are for the double 4 pin modules... i have not seen the car yet... only the module... euro spec 1990 560SEC... i have a lot to read and i can usually work things out... there is just almost no data on testing these...

i want to thank people for sharing the kind of hands on info that makes working on cars easier... i will do my best to share as much as i can also...
