You are one lucky guy to have all those drivers. Last time covering 21XX miles from Chicago I had to drive alone ... in about 26 hr. But as dispute in W211 shows, I had to spend much less time fueling my E320cdi. No need of oil adding and no problem with overheating on 100F driving.

several years ago mercedes pulled 3 e class diesels off the production line and set multiple distance and speed records using the daimler/chrysler test track in Texas. One of the records was the avg speed for 100K miles. IIRC the average speed was near 140mph! that included time for stops for fuel, oil change etc. every 2 hours. avg mph was in the mid 30's IIRC. That works out to 3K miles/day.

So.. traveling non stop cross country in a mercedes (or any other new car for that matter) should be a non issue. Been there, done that on cars and neighbor has does non stop cross country 6-8 times/year pulling a 12,000lb trailer over the colorado rocky's with a truck with 250K miles on it.
