Dearest guys! Need yr help here. My 2002 S500 has a factory xenon lights. The lenses look dull and inattractive that's why I decided to change the headlights but all the headlights I could find on ebay don't fit the factory xenon and I don't know what to do now. Do I need to order HID kit along with the headlights? or is there any other solutions? Thank you in advance

Why not buy the headlight unit with the same MB part number. You probably got a unit for halogen bulbs and it is not intended to work with Xenons (those trying to retrofit xenons would know it is the same the other way around).

It would be ridiculous to buy some after market xenon kit (if that is what you are considering now) that would fit to halogen lights if the car came with xenons from the factory. After market kits are likely built to match the halogen bulb load which is not good for your car.

The glass is not always available separately but it looks like it is at least for some W220 models. I did not check the footnotes if it is different for xenons from halogen lights:
Ê*ò*ëîã

Some have reported lights "polished" with some special treatment, you could try to search comments on that.
