Wink Hello from OK KId

I’m the pride owner of a 1969 230/6. The care is now 40 years old and still a great vehicle.
I’m the third owner and personally knew the second owner, who was a very close friend to the first owner. The first owner had gotten the car as a High School graduation gift and was into sailing on the local lakes, it came equipped with a 4.11 rear gears and a standard trans.
When I got the car it had 120,000+ miles on it and needed much TLC. I started by rebuilding the engine and an upgrade of the rear gears to 3.71, added power steering and considered upgrading to a 5 speed standard (sourced, priced but never went through, still kicking myself). There was other mechanical areas addressed and completed, the body was given a white paint job with a pearl blue overlay.
All mechanical repair work preformed myself except the body and paint.
She’s a daily driver and a pleasure to drive, always catch attention as one you don’t see every day.

I’m currently in the process of a total, frame off, restoration of a 58 Chevy 2 door wagon with resto-rod upgrades (power disk brakes, power steering, digital dash, 2 inch drop spindles, power front windows, positrack 3.70 rear end). It came with a 65 Chevy 327 engine that codes to have come out of a Corvette and set up for high performance. I’ve had the body and paint work (cobalt blue metallic body with a white pearl on top) completed and in the process of reassembly and final mods to the setup. Than it’s on to having tinted smoked glass installed and a custom interior installed. I look forward to completing and driving.
