Just Discovered This Mercedes Forum Today

OK, I will admit it. I am hopelessly intrigued with complexity--of the technical type.

One of the things I've done earlier in my life is to troubleshoot the weapons system on the F-14 Tomcat fighter at the Top Gun school for fighter pilots. I knew that weapons system cold. I called it "chasing electrons"--as I could roll out the electrical schematics and trace the wires and signals through the entire aircraft.

So, troubleshooting my 1992 400SE is a lot like that--a fascination with the complexity of this marvelous automobile. I've got every shop manual and every workshop CD available on this auto--and I put them to good use when I can.

My work (I travel almost constantly) keeps me to busy to even drive my car--let alone tinker with it. But a recent dry spell in the work has been a blessing because now I can tinker again. Changed the spark plugs yesterday. Need to do the brakes and haver RR widow regulator to replace.

I will look forward to learning from others on this discussion group--and also sharing some of my own knowledge.
