99 E300

Going crazy looking for a Factory Maintenance manual or even the missing service booklet? looked on ebay, and also bought some crappy cd. Does anyone have a clue to where I could get these? Dealer getting back to me but claims after 1995 all manuals are on CD and they are attempting to track down. Thanks in advance for any info!!

97 and 99 have different engines, although they share the same problems with fuel lines.
Go to W210 section for more detailed info.
Your car has FSS system. Check what it shows for oil change. Press the reset button on the left of the cluster twice.

Thanks Kajtek1, This is what a guy told me:

There is no Volume 4, nor any hard-copy 1999 Maintenance Manual. Mercedes accomplished their world-wide computer-based service informational system making the continuation of paper manuals a historic dinosaur system. Each dealer, service department, parts stores, etc.... pay an annual fee ~ $3000 for access.
Fortunately Volume 3 is the volume you would purchase anyway. If not for the above computer system Vol. 3 would have had inserted a "supplement" to address the next couple years versions of your E300 "Turbo" Diesel 210.025 with engine 606.962 vs. the 1997 non-turbo E300 with 606.912. So, your turbo charger component would be the only significant difference regarding the Maintenance since all else is nearly identical once you get past the light body style differences. Not much if any maintenance for it anyway. The other book important to you is the one most know nothing about and over-look time and again: Technical Introductory to 1999 Series 210. It will finish off any difference from the 1997 maintenance manual and a lot of data no maintenance manual would have in addition!

The online Manual is avaalible by subscription at There is no Volume 4, nor any hard-copy 1999 Maintenance Manual. Len, is that a full manual or a supplement. I found pub#S-2684-V04-S01 which is labeled suppl.1(contents) but no S-2684-V04 listed nfrom MB/Star website. If it is a full Maintenance Manual-where did you aquire it?

I also found Star Libriaries full repair manual on CD/DVD for $150. Pub# P-2700-210-05. I will be calling MB once again and check it out.

Thanks!

It just says Maintenance Manual Volume 4. Nothing about it being a supplement. I got it from George Murphy, technical director of MBCA. It's a photocopy version. Don't know if it came out of WIS or where he got it. Even though it covers all models, I only have the information pertinent to my 210 chassis. It's been about eight years since I got it and I can't remember if that's all that George sent me or if I went through and weeded out the stuff that didn't apply to my car. I just talked with MBUSA and they inform me that what I have likely came out of the DVD, since they no longer have paper copies.

Well thanks for checking that out. I also spoke with MBUSA and DVD is phased out, online is all they have. I guess that will work if I got hung up, dont know how much they will let you download off that Star Tek site but for now thats good enough.
