Tricks To Head Gasket In Old Mercedes - What Do You Guys Think?

Hello everyone, I tried to search this topic but can't find any information on it. Well, here is the deal guys...

We all know how most old Mercedeses have issues with head gaskets. Once I had a Lincoln and it had a blown head gasket as well as cracked block. I bought Nanotechnology Head Gasket Repair and it fixed head gasket as well as sealed the block and to be honest - it worked out VERY WELL.

But here is an interesting question when it comes to a Mercedes. This car has coolant pressure higher then oil pressure unlike most cars... So would Nanotechnology (or other stuff) work on Benz?

I have 1991 300E which has bad head gasket. Car still works but I have oil in coolant and loos of oil as well.

So have anyone tried any of these head gasket repair products in the Benz? If yes, which one did you try and did it work?

It's just too expensive to repair the engine... So maybe there are other tricks to it too?

Thanks everyone!

I do not know anything about the product you mentioned, but removing the head on a M103 is not too difficult. Much easier the second time around naturally!

Here are the instructions:

Thanks man, but do you have to machine the head? Also I heard that changing head gasket might blow lower part of the engine, is that true?

You can get quite a bit of tech info especially if you ask on the forum specific to your chassis. I have received a lot of help over the years from fellow members.
