Power from an ignition keyhole for CD player on C180?(Have WIS)

Hi,

I need to take power (+ pole) from ignition keyhole for my CD player. Can anyone help me with this or direct me where to in WIS.

You should add your car details to your profile. From another post I can figure out it should be a 202 but a C180 could be a W203 or a W204 too.

I don't think you should grab wires to the ignition switch. You should find a fused wire with a sufficiently small fuse, you could add a CD player fuse on top.

By the way, do you mean a separate CD player/changer or a new radio with a CD player? What's wrong with the existing radio wiring harness?

For a 1995 W202 WIS isn't perfect, you may try this diagram instead:

It´s W202 since it´s made in 1995.

I´m wiring my TM-715QL LCD monitor, but it´s all the same for CD player too. I have red wire which goes on ignition and yellow which goes on direct fused 12DC, also I have black wire which goes on ground.

So, where should I hook up red wire which goes on ignition?

Thanks

If the referred wiring diagram is right, then you should have a pink/yellow/green (odd colours though) wire at the car that is intended to provide switched power via ignition switch to the radio. Looks like there is no permanent power, you should find another source for that.
