1994 C180 cold engine problems
Hi I have had the car about 2 weeks and have a problem I am hoping the forum can help with. When started from cold I need to push the throttle down to get it to start it runs a bit lumpy and has almost no power. Using the throttle normally makes things worse I move the car with no throttle but at a snails pace. Once it has warmed up it is a lot better but I still think lacks power. driving at 80mph it is fine. I have changed the following.
Plugs (the old ones looked OK)
Sealed a gap in the air duct from the filter to the inlet manifold.
Soldered the connections on the OVP relay
All the vacuum connections and pipes look to be OK and are in place.
The auto box also is a bit rough shifting.
There is no MAF but a temp sensor in the air duct. I have cleaned it with IPA spray but not replaced it.
Any advice greatfully received.
Many thanks Dave
