New GLK Owner Needs Advice on Maintaining Black Paint
I just purchased a GLK in black (non-metallic). The salesperson
indicated that I would have to be very careful regarding scratches
and swirls and recommended having it detailed at least once a year
at the dealership. He also recommended not really dusting it
(with a California duster, etc.) and said I should just bring it to the
dealership every ten days or so for a free wash. What should
I use to get rid of the dust between washings? Is anything safe?
Microfiber towels, etc.? I know California dusters have a paraffin
coating and am not sure if using one would scratch the paint or
cause swirls. On the plus side, the car will be garaged, so that will
help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
