License Plate Bolts-Dealership or??

I was upgrading the trim on my license plate and decided to ditch those stupid plastic anchors that are worthless.
Went to the Stealership, $9.00USD for four screws? Your kidding me!

Luckily there was a Home Depot nearby so I found the specs on the bolts and
spent some time searching and finally found two sizes.
I bought them both not knowing which one would work? Most times I get those stupid plastic screws they are way too long.
In this case I got two packages, both were 6mm Stainless Steel for 65 cents but there was the 12mm or the 20mm.
On my first try I got the right one! 12mm screw work real nice and is keeping the license plate and cover firm.

Sorry for the horrible picture of the screw package.
In the picture I put the specs. so you can quickly find it at Home Depot.
It's in the BIN drawers, not hanging up, check the big Bin Drawers.

For: 2000 MB C230 Kompressor.

First of all, metric bolts/screws are described by the size of the threaded shaft and NOT by the size of wrench required. Your screws are M5. M12 screws have a diameter larger than your finger, and are in fact the size of earler Mercedes wheel bolts.
