Post Transmission issues on E 320 1998 210

The transmission on the E-320 would go from D to neutral automatically. The lever would stay at D, but the car would suddenly go into neutral and then make a come back. Took it to the dealer, who ran a computer on the car. It said imperissible sporadic shifting. Dealer said tranny needed fluid change, the fluid change was outrageously expensive. The car tranny still does the same, plus its leaking tranny fluid now, which it was not doing earlier. Took it back to the dealer, now he says that he will have to open up the whole damn tranny cause the tranny has some switch which is leaking tranny fluid. I am in no mood for that. The car is in pristine condition only has 41,000 miles on it. Any suggestions?
I did see him putting the fluid, and the new tranny filter but has not made much difference/
