Cold start problem

Have a C180 salon, manual, petrol, 1993 model., 110K miles.

Just had car service ( new plugs, filters,oil...), ball joints changex2; 4 new tyres, MOT passed;
however when starting the car in the morinings it would just turn and fire and ll Ok.

Now it turns but does not fire, have to press the accelerator pedal for it to fire and then it spluters and misfires, finally warms up for me to move in first gear but with very little to no power.

After about 3 mins the car warms up and all is OK - power back, no misfiring or splutering; however not as smoth as before but driveable.

Have checket the temp gauage sensro read 5K ohms cold and 20Ohms when hot.

Any ideas...manual states could be throttle body? any tips.

Hope you guys ( & gals) can help.

Ta

Definitely a temp-related sensor, but I am not familiar with all of them on your model. A trottle body is not temperature sensitive, unless the air-mass sensor meters fuel by air intake temp as well, if so equipped.

Question Temprature sensor OK

The temp sensor is OK as it reads 5K ohns when cold and 20 ohms when hot.

Trouble shooting section of Haynes Manual seems to imply vacumm leak, any idea what that could mean?

thx

It was the air-flow mass meter - seems to have cured the cold start problem. THE AFM was passing the wrong reading to the ICU which was doing all sorts of things to accomodate the incorrect reading - all fine so far.
