99 E300 wiper will not "park"

Hello all,

I recently bought a 99 E300 turbo diesel and am really enjoying it. I do have a recent problem though, the wiper will only work in the hi position, nothing in low or intermittant and the blade stops when the switch is turned off (doesn't return to park position) so I have to "time" the point to turn it off. I have checked the fuses 5,19 under the rear seat and both are good. I thought I would ask the forum members for help. I also checked fuses 3,41,43,44

Sounds like the switch is bad or maybe it is just dirty. FYI: You have a W210 and we have a forum of our own. Just scroll down from here and look in the Sedans section. Congratulations on your MB and welcome to the forum!

I believe the wiper motor has the the memory of the park position. If I remember correctly it is a hall sensor.
