Phone is possesed!

My wife has a Nokia 1006 from Metro PCS, paired with the car's bluetooth. Everytime she gets in the car, her phone is automatically connected, her phone name showing in the COMMAND display, which is good. However, right after the connection is established, her phone starts ringing, the COMMAND display shows call from "Unknown", and it asks to accept or reject the call. Choosing "accept" does nothing. Choosing "reject" stops the ringing, only to start ringing again a few minutes later, and so on. If I try switching to my Motorola Q from Sprint, it can't connect unless she switches her phone off. She has this problem even when I'm not in the car with her, so that would rule out a phone interference issue.
I have a Motorola Q from Sprint, also paired, and have no issues at all. It works perfect.

Any ideas?

The car is a C300 with multimedia package.

Sounds like the phone gets confused when the car is trying to read the phone book from the phone, perhaps. I wonder what crap hardware is that phone built on, Nokia does not make their CDMA phones, it must be some ODM product (personally I would avoid such products from any brand).

Have you tried if they have a SW update available for the phone?

I feel seeing a similar question some time ago, if it wasn't you, a search might bring some info.

It is the dongle from Mercedes most likely. They have poor compatibility with many many phones (made by Motorola for US based cars).. you might want to try our Viseeo MB2. It works with all phones and has a 30 day money back guarantee.
It has fixed all these types of complaints in the past.

Thanks for this reminder. Is it actually the V60 bluetooth cradle adapter and/or the puck with tail or is it and issue also with the UHI/MHI adapter?

It is a problem with all factory (US Based more the non-US) Mercedes Phone systems. It is the whole reason certain products like the Viseeo are made. The MHI/UHI uses a MB dongle that is actually made by Motorola. It's compatibility is poor at best.... I know a lot of flamers will say that it works with their phone, and if so great... but we have replaced about 600 MB pucks to date with the Viseeo, and only 1 Viseeo has ever been returned.

The older V60- tailed pucks also suffer the same issue.
