Last car I will ever buy
Just got a 2002 E 320 Wagon and am hoping it will be the last car I will ever buy. I Retired last July and am replacing my Towncar with 110,000 miles on it. I had a 1960 180 that I bought while in the service in 1964 and the only thing that came close was a 1949 Packard.
Love the car, but as it is right now, the radio doesn't work (don't even get a code request) and the electric locks don't work. The mechanic that OK'ed the car before I bought it isn't opened on weekends, just lost one of his mechanics, and had four more cars on his lot then I have ever seen there. I checked the fuses in the engine compartment and under the right-rear seat (all OK), but couldn't get the panel by the light switches off for fear of cracking it. Also, the car doesn't have pre-drilled holes for the front license plate and, as I live in Texas, need to have a plate in front (got a ticket two years ago for no front plate on the towncar, and had to order an attachment).
I've been through the forums for those problems, so I may post my fixes when I figure them out.
