Best way to cross reference part numbers?

I am trying to find what all models used certain parts, one is a cup holder for the '99 w202, another would be the gear shifter console cover. If I obtain the part numbers from these items, how best to determine what other cars they were fitted to?

Just enter the part number to EPC and you get a list of models that have used the same part.

Agree with Diesel Benz. Everyone who owns an MB should signup for the MB Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC). Eventhough they ask for a credit card, it's free. No charge. Nada. https://epc.startekinfo.com/epc/login.jsp

Yup, that will work. American salvage yards also have all that information readily at hand. You don't really need to know what vehicles a certain part pertains to, just call a salvage yard and ask if they have what you want.
