The fire extinguisher is a requirement in the EU, I think. I remember being puzzled by my British friends all having fire extinguishers in their cars, but never thought to ask why. It may just be a personal choice thing, but it's European for sure.
That is actually a pretty good looking car. The coachwork is extraordinary (and expensive as can be) as is the interior. Are those recent pictures or ones from shortly after the car was converted? I assume you wouldn't spend that kind of money on a conversion to an old car.
I've seen worse by a long shot, and this is about as tasteful as you can get in the process of turning a 4-door sedan into a drop-top.
