Acceptable Bling?

I have a black CLS 550 with AMG Sport Package.

I'm thinking about getting the same style rear spoiler that's included on the CLS 55/63.

I'm always cautious about modding out my car and I like to be sure that the aftermarket part will look appropriate on the car.

It seems like the AMG rear spoiler is low risk for my car becuase my car already has the AMG Sport package (looks the same as AMG on the outside except no quad tailpipes).

Would you agree that this aftermarket part would be "acceptable bling"?

That is not bling. Bling is for 'blinding'. LOL

I have a cls with AMG sportline too. I thought about adding the same thing but decided that the car was too elegant and just didn't need it. Bling? Not really, but again, your car is so elegant, I don't think it adds to the car.

Talking

Bahrahbim bahrahbum, then you'd have a genuine immitation AMG!!!

Ah, the value of the face... besides the car would need it for stability... at over 170 mph! That will get you friend with the cops, you'll help a lot with their bonus.

Is it so that Bling is the transition from automovil to getthocruiser? (honest question, no pun intended.)

I agree with boschk, the car is so classy - but either way it looks great. It's not too much bling, though, IMO.

IMHO the car was equipped from the factory with the right amount of bling.

Nothing wrong with adding a "factory accurate" piece, but I think these cars look best with the kit you have and no wing, it's just beautiful keeping that flowing line over the top clean.

The implication of a spoiler is you're going to drive fast enough to need the downforce to hold the car on the road. That would probably happen somewhere well north of the top speed of the your car. Think about it.

I saw an 80's Chevrolet Caprice sedan the other day with the stubs of a rear wing on the deck lid. I figured when he crossed 300 mph it probably blew the wing off.

I'd have to see them side-by-side before I can make a judgement. A friend of mine had a CLS 55 but I only saw it after dark and never noriced it had a spoiler.
