Well what can I say, went to Rastatt 18/6/09, good flight, taxi, hotel, meal, taxi to factory. What a good reception really made to feel special nothing too much trouble. Car excellent, production tour fascinating (good job i speak german).

Journey back, my planning was amusing. The ferry my sat nav found hadn't worked in a year so we swam. Drove back roads to Luxemburg, took a while but worth it. Stayed in Bastogne, just in Belgium, most enjoyable had adequate meal a couple of beers slept a while and then drove to Calais,

Biggest disappointment? Fuel consumption only 42 mpg in B180 with auto. Someone please tell me it well get better. My manual Passat on the same drive did over 55 mpg.

I lokk forward to hearing

Your fuel economy should definitely get better - all new cars are poor for the first few hundred or thousand miles until the engine has bedded in.

Time to get some pictures up!
