Hello All,

I have a 90 560 SEL that has a gas leak along the seal of the fule distributor. Does anyone know whee I can get DIY instruction on changing this seal of give me some direction? This is a first for me and I want to do it right. Cannot afford to send to the shop right now. Also, can the relay on the side of the distributor leak as well. I ask because it looks as if gas is coming out around the unit and there is a pin hole in the middle of the relay and it looks as if gas is coming out of it as well.

Could a build up in pressure cause this to happen? If so, what is the most comon reason on this model? When I take off the gas cap allot of pressure is released and I want to be sure I do not have anything else going on.

Thanks for your help in advance.

As a recall, a seal kit is available for around $20. A forum search in 126 would be your best bet. Pressure in a tank is normal.

There is an o-ring at the bottom of the fuel distributor, which rarely fails. More common is a leak from the EHA (the black thing attached to the side by two screws). Check that out. It's also possible that you may need to replace the fuel distributor itself.
