2004 E320 station wagon left rear lowering

Recently I noticed the left rear lowers significantly at rest but the raised itself close to normal height after "the car is too low" warning message came on for a few seconds upon starting the engine..

Took it to the dealership, they replaced the right (not left) strut and for a day everything is close to normal. Then after that,at rest it seem to lower itself again until I start the engine the next time I need to drive the vehicle.

What is going on and is it something I would have to live with for the rest of the car's life.
