Glad to be a part of this forum!

Hi all!

As my nick implies: I work with helicopters and aircraft that can fly like helicopters (hover).

I am a proud owner of two benzes. First, 1984 380SL, which my mom owned since new and on which she learned how to drive, totalling a good many american-made vehicles along the way. The car was maintanined by Carmen, an Italian fellow in Chicago area, who used to work for a dealer out there. He did really good work keeping it going, but in 1998 after my mom's another accident the dealer would not give her more then $1500 for a trade-in. That is when the car was "bestowed" into my care. I've learned alot about how to keep it running since and would not trade it for anything on four wheels today. This year I bought a 1997 E320 to serve a "family car" function. I think this particular model, pre-2002, beats the new E-Class hands down.

I truely believe, that for those who can turn a wrench and follow a diagram, with the help of this forum, these cars can run forever. There is no better bang for the buck when it comes to heritage german engineering!
