Newbie GL 320cdi
Bought a used '07 320 GL and love it. Only had 14K miles on the clock.
Having owned an FX 35 since '04 the only thing I really miss in the GL is the key dependence seat memory function. I can't believe the GL doesn't have it. To make matters worse you have to hold your finger on the programmed seat position number while the mice inside the seat treddle their wheels into the programmed position. Even my old '97 540 BMW had one touch seat memory. What gives - Am I missing something?
My wife is 4 foot nothing and I am 6'6' so the mice inside have a lot of work to do when we change drivers and it takes up a considerable amount of driving time holding seat program button waiting for the seat to get in position.
Is this something that can be upgraded/programmed - seems like all the hardware is present to make this happen. Perhaps some lard ass got crushed by one touch seat memory and sued someone.
Anyway - love the car - diesel is the bomb - the Euros have been all over that for ever and no wonder. Now when will MB bring in that 420? Seems to me the US market would just lap that up.
