Recharging E320 Battery

Hi,
I was on an extended vacation and on return I got a "dead battery" in my E320 (2004). The E320 battery is in trunk and I could not open the trunk as the latch to open the trunk won't work (without the battery). I could not find any other way to open the trunk. There must be some other way to open it!! Any help will be highly appreciated.
Thanks.

I thought the late model "E"s had a +stud in the engine compartment, did they take the battery out of under the rear seat?
Call 1800 for Mercedes the jump is free, they will sell you a battery but dont pay more than $150 or so.

Why did you not open the trunk with your metal key? Is the car manual in the trunk too?

Recharging E320 Battery

Thank you to both of you - Diesel and Peter. I did not check under the seat and don't remember seeing the + stud under the hood again. I will check both now.
Hope I find the +stud!!
BTW: I don't have a metal key - all I have was electronic keys...
Thanks again.

Are you sure about that?

If your key looks like this, you have a mechanical key hidden inside it. Slide the release button (5) sideways, and the mechanical key (7) will pull out. Neat eh?

Now if you could only remember where you put your owner's manual.
