A company called GAAH, they do excellent replacement and I think custom
GAHH: Convertible Tops, Auto Interiors, Quality Convertible Tops
I thought they were into custom but looking at their page it only shows some sort of diamond pattern, maybe give them a call, I know they offer a list of installers. The owner John Bath showed two SLs with a non factory pleat pattern

custom upholstery

Back in the Day, you could get some really good custom upholstery done south of the border, not too far from you. Maybe you still can.

I am starting to research a similar issue: putting burgundy or red leather seats and door panels in an S550, GLK or the soon-to-come E-class cabriolet.

I found GAHH: Convertible Tops, Auto Interiors, Quality Convertible Tops on another posting; you can look on their web site and see the recommended list of installers (and they are in Hollywood).

Good luck!

PS: Sorry, I forgot that I read about GAHH in this same thread!
