Question Lookin at a 560 SEC

I am currently working in Kuwait and have been looking for a used car(rentals are outrageous). I came across a 1990 Mercedes 560 SEC, and i liked its vintage sporty-classy like look. It has 175,000 KM (which i think is roughly 109,000 miles). I think its a Japan Spec according to the VIN, which is WDB1260451A570415 . They are asking 1200KD (about $4100), is that about right?
Who can tell me more about these cars.... reliabiltiy, mechanical issues, recalls, etc..? I am also taking in consideration its age.
Any knowledge is greatly appreciated, also i have never owned a Mercedes.

The correct forum is the W126. On top of the W126 forum page, check the 'Welcome to the Forum' announcement / tutorial sticky.
Post your VIN # to get the history of the car, what color / interior it was delivered, or you can use the link of the Russian MB site.
The timing chain and plastic guide rails are normally done at about 120K miles. Try to get all repair / service records.
mbcoupes has a great buyers guide.

Teutone covered everything. I will add that a properly maintained w126 is an excellent car. One of the best chassis mercedes produced.
