Blowing smoke up my arse?

My original service advisor retired, moved to Florida, and I lost track of him, so I can't call and ask him...

My new service advisor tells me that even with my CPO warranty, I'll still have to pay around 600 bucks to flush the Petosin oil from the ABC system if they have to do any work on it that requires drainage of the oil. Does this sound right? Does the CPO cover the flushes, or is the dealer double dipping?

For the unwritten on the warranties, if the oil drain is the result of the warranty work description (like to change oil pump) then the labor work should be covered. Now, unless you pay for new oil and filter (parts price) they will reuse what you took in installed in the car. Same with any work involving fuel removal, such as replacement of radiator, transmission or differential r/r, ...

Watch carefully SA who wish to mud the field, they generally are NDG.

Cheers, JV
