Old School AMG Steering Wheel

Is this a real AMG Steering Wheel? What model is it? I've paid pretty penny for it in hopes of restoring it for my W124. Hopefully I didn't get taken for a ride.

The early 80's AMG cars used an aftermarket steering wheel like the one in the picture, but instead of the Tri-Star, it had the letters AMG in the circle, so the answer is "no" it's not an AMG steering wheel, but it is from the same company that made the covers for AMG.

Here are two of the three wheels that AMG used before the merger

This is an earlier model

All sported the AMG lettering

MTI, thanks for your input. I think it is real, because that said AMG emblem is missing as the space in the cover is indented. I guess I'll just have to hunt down a correct size AMG emblem for it to be complete.

It is "real" to the extent that it's the same style as the AMG, but I wouldn't feel right saying that it's an AMG steering wheel. Of course, it's molecularly identical to an AMG wheel, but the three letters do add value, just like the difference between an AMG rim (also not manufactured by AMG) and an identical one without the logo.
