Dealers???

New to the site, and despite many searches there don't seem to be any threads on recommended dealers. Can someone shed some light on this?

Some are better than others? Are you going to go out of state to find a better dealer to purchase a new Mercedes from?

I will go pretty far to get a good deal. Its more then the money, its the story which attaches to the car. Like how you met your wife.

Generally best to stay close to home. You'll be glad you did if a load of warranty issues happen to crop up.

I think it would be very helpful if you actually told us what you're trying to buy/do. It's very hard to give advice without having the faintest clue as to the situation in question. Can you help us out here or are you going to stay in the mystery mode? Also, where you're located might also be helpful, but I'm not holding my breath.

I highly recommend my dealer but I bet you're not going to come to New Mexico. And, I'm not inviting anyone to move here. And, if all you're looking for is "a deal," well you're simply asking for it. If "screw or be screwed" is your philosophy, it will be you that gets it.

I'm in VA. Would go about 500 miles to get a better deal.

When I bought my corvette, those forums make it pretty clear who the high volume dealers are and I bought mine from Kerbeck, widely known as a high volume vette dealer and one who provides some of the best prices in the country. Of course those forums have rules about discussing pricing, but the high volume dealers are all sponsors so the are easy to identify.

With that said, a MB is no chevy, and I do understand that. No reason to pay sticker price locally if I can drive a few hundred miles and save a grand.

Then I highly recommend Ray Catena MB in either Edison or Union, NJ. Well within 500 miles, great prices and great service.
