w126 carpet removal

420 SEL
23 March Some progress: rear seat now removed
But where are the bolts that hold the centre console in place?
I have removed the coin tray and the shift surround but I cant see anything relevant
Surely I dont have to cut the carpet? Do I?

Usual problem: water ingress, carpet must come out
Front seats removed
Cant remove rear seat or central console to facilitate carpet removal

There must be someone who has done this: can they share their knowledge with me?

The carpet on the center driveline tunnel is glued down, but can be stripped off by pulling.

check on the end sides(where a side airbag comes out on a front seat) of the back rest on the rear seats, pull that towards you-apart and see if the screws-bolts that secure them are hidden behind them,on most of MBs they are, same thing with the sitting area, but check on the very bottom.

Hey!...If You See Kaye, tell her i love her okay?!
