My Car is in Limp Mode...HELP!!!!!!

2000 Mercedes Benz C230 Kompressor Sport

So, we have the good ol' code for the Input/Turbine Speed Sensor Malfunction (P0715). Just replaced the conductor plate on top of the valve body, put everything back together, new fluid, filter, and cleared the codes, only to be welcomed with it still throwing the same code while keeping the car in limp mode. Tiptronic is stuck in 'D' and will not shift while also requiring extra revs to move along. Also idles hard while in gear, though smooth at idle. Already replaced the MAF and am not seeing any codes for it.

So someone please advise! The only other thing I can think of is the TCU and I would rather not have to get involved with replacing a $1000 part as far as my knowledge goes.

Welcome to the forum. You might find more info from the forum native to your car, but the trans is in lots of cars so search for your code.

Couple of thoughts, though. Did you also change the adapter/connector outside the trans? How wet was the plug? Did you open the TCU box to see if it is wet? Last, how did you clear the codes? Regular OBD or battery disconnect won't do it, takes the proper interface to the diag port as these are hard codes. And just fixing the problem won't clear the code, either.

Take care and enjoy the ride,

Thanks. I am going to take it into the shop and get it diagnosed. I really hope its not a TCU problem.
