Hi my name is Clifford Paulson. I'm a 65+ retired Machinist.
Over the last couple of years I acquired to said to be dead Mercedes. The first was a 1982 300D turbo diesel and second is a 300D turbo diesel. the
82's valves were so out of adjustment they all clodes all the time, bad glow plugs, and trans thar would snap your neck. It also needed motor mounts engine shock, new injection rack tensioner and timing chain tensioner. I've all these problems fited at home. Now only some small electrical problems to solve.
In the 87 I was told it had been to the MB shop and it needed a new trans. So it had been parked. It would not start. Gelled fuel. All windows don't. all fuses are good and contacts are clean. This still has stumped. the trans was just a unplugged vac line.
On both cars the cruise controls work some times Have got this figured out yet but will get sorted out in time.
