Pairing phone to V60 puck

Anyone ever try pairing a Motorola Razr VE20 to the MB V60? I just got this phone and am unable to connect. My old Motorola V323i works fine.

Did you activate the puck to accept connections from a new phone to be paired?

If you mean following the V 60 instructions----yes. I took this Motorola VE 20 to my provider and they could not pair it either. He tried a different Motorola (without as many bells and whistles) and it paired nicely. I also called MB service center and they faxed me "the latest and greatest" list of compatible phones with the V 60, my provider said with the exception of the smart phones on the list the other phones have not been made for one or two years!

I understand that you have correctly initialised the puck (don't know this one but usually there is a button that you press a few seconds, a blue led starts blinking fast and the device is ready for pairing). It then sounds like an issue with the phone. Have you been able to pair that VE 20 with other BT devices, like a laptop or a BT headset?

Perhaps the VE 20 does not support BT HF profile but just BT headset (I have no idea how old this phone is etc.)?

Someone who would have experience about the same Motorola phone should try to help here!

Can you explain more? I did not find the info that his car has an MHI connector but I understood his old adapter did work with another Motorola phone, why would that phone work with the MHI adapter but not the V60 puck? This is an honest question out of curiosity.
