If you have a USA car, sulfur contaminates the newer catalytic converters used to meet the new emision standards. Effect is probably more from long term use of Low sulphur fuel, than just 1 tank. What does mercedes say if you need to fill up with LSD?
While there are still pumps labeled LSD in the US, in almost all cases what you will get is ULSD anyway. ULSD is all that is allowed in virtually all the fuel pipelines in the country. Stations are somewhat slow to relabel because they need to make sure the tank is flushed of any LSD and that if sampled it won't be above 15ppm vs. the old 500ppm for LSD.
In Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Oregon, I have never had any problems finding stations with ULSD even though my truck only needs LSD. In fact it's been a rare occasion seeing a station with only LSD. Don't know about the rest of the country.
