Sprinter 311CDi central locking

I have a RHD 2002 Sprinter 311 CDi 4x4 and the central locking switch for the back doors has its red LED flashing. I assume that it thinks that the rear doors are not shut? There are two pairs of contacts on the right-hand rear door and one pair on the left door (number plate light). Does anyone know which of the right-hand pairs does what? They both have a yellow/gray and brown/blue wire on the sprung pins in the door. Any help gratefully appreciated.

When I press the keyfob to lock the van, the doors lock, then unlock. If I press it again, they lock, unlock, then lock.

Hi it is a faulty brass spring loaded contactor on the back or side doors just needs replacing. Makesure the doors are shutting properly and are adjusted correctly. Mine still does it occasionally even when driving. I clean the contacts and then it is fine. But the contactor was the route cause. Was the panarama glass retro fitted on your sprinter?

Smile Central locking fault

my fault was fixed by moving the hinge so that greater pressure was applied to the brass conector when the right rear door was shut. The conector pin was touching the contact but may have been to short due to excessive cleaning. very happy now
