Help - Who makes this wheel?

I took my E550 to Costco to install new tires and they damaged one of my rear wheels.

Does anyone know who makes this wheel or where I can buy one.

The wheel has "E Class" stamped on the face on the circumference, near the tire and "Forged" on one of the spokes.

I don't want to change to different wheels unless I can't find one to replace the damaged wheel. Thanks.

It's not Mercedes, but otherwise I'm of little help.

BTW, "forged" is impressive if true, as most wheels are cast. This would make this wheel expensive in all liklihood.

Yes, they are. Forged is stronger and can be made lighter. I wouldn't drive over 100mph on cast wheels. Forged wheels tend to hold a chrome plating or powder coating better because they tend to be of higher quaility alloy and less pourous.

All good racing wheels are forged aluminum, magnesium, or steel.

While transport aircraft wheels are cast (granted, multi-piece, but cast). Guess they're bad wheels.

If Costco damaged the wheel I would make them do the leg work, or supply 4 matched wheels.

Hi Peter,
I don't see it there. My wheel's 18" x 9.5 or 10, with no bolts.

I didn't say that. As you know all aircraft wheels are required to go through qc processes, including xray inspection. Not true for passenger vehicle wheels.

I once had a Mickey Thompson cast aluminum wheel come apart on the rear wheel of my suburban, while towing my boat at about 60 mph. They claimed there was an invisible flaw from the casting process, that would only be visible by internal inspection process, that nobody in passenger/light truck wheel manufacturing uses. It's possible that a cast wheel manufacturer can do such inspection of their wheels, but I haven't seen it advertised.

Thanks Peter. I was hoping that I didn't have to go that route.
