Thinking about buying a w203 :)

Hey guys... im in the process of selling my car a 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ and i am thinking about picking up a w203..

I just want to sure I'm not gonna regret this since i read and heard from people that Benz's are hard to work on or have a lot of electrical issues??

I am thinking about buying a C class.. Nothing below 2005.. I read that many problems have been worked out by 2005 so will this car be reliable.

I found a good one
Auction123, Inc. - Image Viewer

The price is 12,880 and it has 55k.. Clean title and Carfax.. Does this look good for the price? Think i could talk them down? I will pay cash..

Its the c230 Kompressor with the 1.8 supercharged engine... I just wanna know are these motors any good or is the v6 better??

Also how are prices for parts on these cars.. Since this one is outta warranty and i would like to be prepared. I have a mechanic friend who is used to working on Euro cars such as this one so labor won't kill me.. And I can also DIY alot of stuff..

So let me know what am I in for if i get this car.. I searched a lot on this matter but would like some fresh answers to my particular questions.. And let me know any other stuff about these cars.. Thanks ahead.. Look forward to being very active on this forum if i get the car..

here is the carfax

Though I am new owner of C230 Coupe (2003) with 1.8L Kompressor, I did test drive many different C230s, some with naturally aspirated 2.6L, some older with the 2.3L. My opinion is that the 1.8L is smoother running with wide torque range. I have 6 speed manual, so other than somewhat notchy feel to shifts, it has a very good feel when accelerating or decelerating, low vibration, and excellent fuel mileage -- 31 mpg normal commute, 38 highway 65-70 mph. You should have no reservations about the 1.8L if you are looking for excellent performance.

Good Luck.
