Question C200 1995 Esprit Problems

Hi Everyone, I have a small knowledge of cars but am still learning. So excuse me if I sound like a retard

I've got a petrol c200 (w202) 2.0 1995 Esprit and here are my problems

1. The center heater only blows slightly warm, the air vent next to the steering wheel is nice n hot, n so is the passengers. Just the center one only gets up to slightly warm temp - is there anything I can replace or check for?

2. The car makes a slight scraping / buzzing sound (almost sounds like when a radio isn't tuned in! I do have the radio off when I do this lol!) when I drive at slow speeds. When I am going faster (50mph +) I can't hear it. This is defiantly coming from the passenger side, around the wheel / engine bay.

3. The remote central locking is pretty lame, I have to stand right next to the window for it to work - could this just be battery's in the key? or are all mercs of this age like this? What's the usual distance for it to work?

Thanks for anyone that can help, your helping me out big time

1. Turns out my mates also is the same, we checked but it is connected guess the center is just not as hot.

2. Ditto this is due to the transfer from the engine to rear wheel drive

3. Battery was low on the key fob!

HI, This may seem a silly suggestion, but I have noticed that on some merc models,
the idea is to close the side vents, so the hot air is forced to blow out of the centre air vent. I just adjust the side air vent controls to approx 1/2 way or more, and fully open the centre vents.
Just be careful doing this whilst driving.
Hope this helps.
