about to buy..

Hi,

please help me make the call!

I had been to a mb dealer (NY) and has 2 offers
2006 CPO R350 - $27xxx - Has DVD, nothing more
2007 CPO R350 - $30000 - Has DVD, Panoramic roof.

1) One main thing which I was trying to figure out is the difference between an 06 (July06) and an 07 (Nov06) models. The difference is 4 months but its a different model. Is there any real difference between this models?

2) Dealer told me that I have to add a blue tooth adapter (~500) to get the blue tooth function in an 07. So, does this mean that there is something extra to the 06? Can I just add the adapter to the 06 to have blue tooth?

3) Which one is better - an 06 or 07? The price difference is $3000!

Please help me choose!
thanks!

Neither. Get a GL or something else. The R is the ugliest vehicle that Mercedes makes, and it also the one that depreciates the fastest. The ergonomics of the vehicle are horrible (mainly the rear doors) and build quality isn't that great. Your nearly $30k is better spent on a better vehicle, because that R is going to depreciate like a rock. It is also set to be discontinued because no one buys these.

I have no personal experience with either model, but my dealer used one as a courtesy car and their driver seemed to like it. I rode in theirs a couple of times; the front passenger seat was comfortable and the car seemed solid.
A good rule of thumb is: within any model series, the later in the model run, the better.

Thanks fior the 2006/2007 information because I used to think the R-Class was too new to have undergone any significant changes.
