Cool Kompressor driving through!

Hey all,
So I bought a used 2003 C230K two years ago and have put a few miles on it (from 66k to 120k) driving to gigs from Atlantic City to Boston.

Problem 1: It likes to settle in around 90 mph, especially when driving home at 4am. I've come close to learning my lesson, except they pull over Anyone at 4am, then make up the "illegal turn signal" stuff.

Problem 2: I don't trust anyone in the automotive field. Even if I'm going to pay someone to touch my car, I want to do my research first (as i see most everyone else here is concerned with).

Problem 3: A control arm on my right/front (connecting strut to wheel) is broken at the bushing/joint. I can't seem to get anyone to give me an accurate name for the part (I don't have a repair manual, but want to pick one up), and whether I can just pay to reattach at the joint rather than buy the entire dual-arm mechanism.
Any thoughts?
