I've owned MANY other Mercedes cars over the years , too many to list here .
I'll finish tonight with some scenic pictures from the Highland tour we did last summer in the 190
We left home in North Ayrshire and drove up to Aberdeen to spend the night with the in-laws , following day over to Inverness , where we spent a night .
Here's Inverness Castle
The next day , we drove down the side of Loch Ness ( no sign of 'Nessie' : the monster ) and arrived in Fort William
Here's my girlfriend , Jan , with 'bump' in Fort William High Street : our new son Harris was born a couple of months later , in July
And here's the 190 , stopped just a couple of miles south of Fort William
From there , we checked in to a small hotel about 10 miles south of Fort William and used it as a base for the next week . Here is the view from our bedroom window
And one of the hotel , looking back from the jetty
This is a view from the top of Aanoch Mor , in the Nevis mountain range and in the shadow of Ben Nevis ( the highest mountain in the UK ) you can take the cable car to reach this point
Here is the 190 at Ardnamurchan Lighthouse , the most westerly point on the UK mainland
And one of the lighthouse itself
This is the 190 stopped on the way back from Ardnamurchan ( something like 20 miles of single-track road to get there , if you meet someone coming the other way : somebody has to reverse ! )
I'll continue this in the last post of the night .
