Hello to all, I am excited to have found such an informative site my car(actually my wife's car) is aproaching 263,000 miles and I will definately be studying this resource closely.
As you see in my sig I also have a Honda (or two) and a ford as well as a couple of toyota 4wd pickups. The mercedes was purchased to be my wifes daily driver. Although I will admit the Mercedes is awesome to drive and ride in, my first love is my Prelude which I have owned since 1993. I am an active member of PreludePower (forum) and also an active mechanic (as most 90,s model car owners are). My daily driver is a 2000 Ford F350 7.3L diesel dually and it is a great truck. I recently installed a tuner capable of reflashing with 5programs and it has really awakened this truck. It is amazing what can be done with diesel tuning. For those of you that have not driven a chipped diesel it is awesome. I have a +120hp race tune that would blow your mind, so much power and torque.
For fun I (my wife, and my sis and bro in law)are in the process of restoring a 1979 Bayliner 31 ft boat. We found it at a used car lot for $2500 and paid for it by having a few yard sales and recycling some scrap metal. We have already repaired, renewed, all of its systems with the exception of the generator (marine generator = expen$ive). It has twin rebuilt .30 over chevy 350s and Volvo outdrives. When we bought it both blocks were violently cracked from a hard freeze. There is nothing like doing 35 mph on a boat this size pushed by twins. I love it and can't wait till early spring when we finally get to repaint it and go have some fun.
see some pics of the boat
anyway Hello to all from the guy who will be picking your brains for years to come
