E350 2006 Wagon - New owner with questions

Picked up my used (but pristine) 2006 E350 wagon on Friday. Love the ride. As a new owner, I have questions:

1- In dash display tells me to add 1 QT of oil after about 10 minutes of driving. Can I just add 1 QT of oil and forget about it? Last oil change was 1000 miles ago.

2- I live in area with snow and slush. I am concerned about preserving the beautiful black floor mats. What are possible choices for WINTER floor liners? I love Husky products but they are not available for the E350.

3- Is is possible to install the mobile phone jack after the fact? The car was not equipped with the phone jack within the console. Same question for SAT radio?

4- I am not much of a car washer (again because of salt in the region). Do I need to pay a lot of attention to exterior maintenance?

Your car has a dipstick--check the oil when cold before just adding some. The sensors that create the message are known to be problematic on rare occasions.

Phone and SAT can be retrofitted.

Car requires exterior maintenance, especially cleaning the wheels of brake dust.

Thanks Kent.

Checked the oil level and it's below the 1/2 way point. I am guessing that the dealer added the minimum after picking up the car at the end of a lease.

I found the Weathertech liners for winter conditions.

I will think about the phone retrofit. Sounds costly from the dealer. I wonder if it can be done aftermarket by an indy shop?

Thanks for comment about washing. Will keep up with it. Is it necessary to add the MB solution to the windshield wiper fluid (per manual)?
