199 E 320 intermittent crank/no start condition.

Gentlefolks, I was hoping I could pick some experienced brains. Currently have a '99 E320 which will crank, but not start, on occasion. During such time, the vehicle doesn't generate spark or a crank signal.
Tested sensor and it is operational. Wiring from sensor to computer is good as well. Currently unsure how to proceed and would like some advice. thank you and good day.
