I spent a few days trying to figure the best and most economic solution in attempt to upgrade my W208 integrated phone.
Wireless4MB.com does have the solution but I found the customer support people at Wireless Solutions are in serious need of an attitude adjustment. Even the fellows at Mercedes Parts mentioned that they were reluctant to call and were not amused with their cocky attitudes. They patronized my effort by offering me one line answers and even then I had to pry the information out of the applications engineer.
No doubt the entire effort is model and year dependent and I had to configure my system needs from the information I was able to gather from this site as well as a few other web sources.
The bottom line it cost me 750 bananas to convert to Bluetooth by replacing the TimePort cell phone to a bluetooth puck. I had to order a special cable in order to connect it. (Wireless Solutions left this minor detail out. That was nice of them wasn't it?) In addition I had to replace the PSE which is located behind the left quarter panel in the trunk with an upgraded Universal module. (relatively it was a very easy installation)
(maybe you will find Wireless Solutions supportive, I certainly didn't)
As for MikBox,
I estimated my total cost for the MikeBox configuration to be around 300 samolians.
For all intent and purpose, MikBox is a non-existent entity. I wanted to take this route initially since a plug-in phone will utilize the external antenna but the when I got to the shopping cart page it was disabled.
There are a few 700-1K products out there but for my money, it's one expensive crap-shoot.
After all is said and done; It's up, it's working, and it's woikin poifektly with my Blackberry and the voice command system.
Thanks to all who responded to my cry for help.
