[W220] Auotmatic transmission oil

Hi all,

I'm new here - my name is Rob and I'm from Poland My car has got now 190 000 km so I got the following question - I will be probably changing the oil in my automatic transmission so here is the question - what kind of oil will be suitable for my transmission which symbol is: 722618 01 698446 (decoded form VIN number)?
I will be grtafeull for any help on that subject

Use only OEM Mercedes fluid. Be advised, however, that routine transmission fluid changes are not required on these cars. Transmission is "sealed" and should only be messed with if there is a problem.

Hi
Thanks for the quick reply - that's what I've found on some other sites as well- that changing of oil in those tarnsmissions shouldn't be done unless something is wrong with it. Thanks a lot

Didn't MB change this, at least one oil change was introduced, cannot remember the mileage. Tranny oil change would not be needed often but I would follow the period as for the first change according to the new service rules.

and also can anybody tell me what oil I should use then? I know that I should use the oil that meets MB's approval 236.10 or 236.12. But what producent?

Use genuine Mercedes fluid, part #001989210310.
