Ah. That explains his rudeness, but doesn't excuse it. It seems to me if you don't like the price the dealer charges, you don't use the dealer and you take your chances with an indie shop or your own expertise. It's childish to fuss and pout about what they charge. Dealers make mistakes, but you have them on the hook if they do. I don't like the rates dealerships charge. I also don't like the price of a gallon of gasoline, the cost of a hand car wash, and the price of a new set of Michelins. I can either pay the price or not, but I'm not going to stomp my foot and throw a tantrum. OP is doing the same thing in reverse, it appears. If he gets in a pi#%ing contest, he's no better than the people he's disparaging. If you buy a MRZ, the maintenance cost of keeping it on the road is higher than nearly any other car. Write it down. If you don't want to pay the cost, trade the car. I don't get the issue.
