Hi all, I'm more a fan of C240 now that I have driven it. I'm left in a sticky situation, after buying my 1998 C240, to allow me to carry on working while I repair my E36 318i bmw (Front lower wishbones), I have now been layed-off. As a result I will need all the info on my new car from people like yourselves, and I'll be glad of it. I am fairly well versed with "motors" after working on them for the last 30 odd years: some very odd.
An aircraft engineering techy by trade (was) with the RAF and BAe Systems, I've always kept myself entertained in the garage. Starting with the Triumph Herald 1300, then Mk I Cortina, Mk II 1600E, Mk IV, Rover P6 3500s (Best car upto the 3 star), Mazda 626, Range Rover, Honda Civic, Pontiac Grand Prix, Mustang, Mk10 Jag, Ford Taurus, Pontiac Catalina (400 yards long!), Supra, and last the 318i,( I missed the Hyundai Stellar through total embarassment).
I ran a "garage" while "employed" at BAe Systems in Saudi Arabia, to help work mates to begin with, then by demand for another six years, earning more than the day job.
So if anybody wants general advice - ask at your peril.
